Fractured Fairytales

Students are working on Fractured Fairytales! They listened to their choice of fairytale, and now are recreating their fairytale using a web-based program called KerPOOF! Each student has their own login which allows them to save their files (as well as earn coins they can "spend" in the KerPOOF store). Each student will add a link to their completed project under the link for their homeroom.

Previously in Learning Resource class, 4th graders read Henry's Freedom Box, a true story about a famous slave during the underground railroad era named Henry"Box" Brown. Henry escaped in a box to his freedom. Watch the video of the story.

Students have uploaded their projects under the links to the left. The files may be opened or saved! We hope you enjoy them; they've worked very hard and have done a fantastic job incorporating these content standards and skills:

  • retelling the story,
  • identifying 5 main ideas,
  • grammar/punctuation/sentence structure,
  • copy/paste,
  • inserting clipart,
  • researching and adding photos,
  • creating a motion path,adding animation,

  • changing background colors,
  • adding sound effects/music,
  • and recording sound.
